    Britta

    Britta’s ‘Celestial Desert’

Britta, base in LA + NYC had a vision of a celestial inspired desert for her gown. The ceremony would take place in Mexico on the beach. The concept was to have a transformational look to take Britta barefoot from ceremony on the sand to the dance floor. Various Personal messages – list out. Britta had a shape in mind that was asymmetrical tiers + full volume with a square neckline.

    Artwork, Colour & Embroidery Inspiration

    Patterns,Toiles & Draping

Next stage is to evolve the sketches and concept into made-to-measure bespoke patterns and toiles, executed through small specialist teams dedicated to each stage of the dress. Every stage is hand made and uniquely thought through for each Couture bride. No two dress journeys or process are the same, ever bride has a unique timeline created. Britta was based between NYC + LA so we approved toiles via a fitting model in advance of shipping internationally to fit Britta via ZOOM with a local seamstress.

    ARTWORK

We drew all of Brittas personal details and cacti, succulents, desert sky, zodiac signs.  We engineered into her unique patterns.

Artwork is hand drawn and engineered into every panel of the gown, first onto paper and then to hand embroidered panels before being cut and constructed into their finished gown.

drawing up onto the special tracing paper, punching with the free hand machine, final embroidery on the loom, checking against artwork, remove the ink guide.
